How do I order a custom cake topper?

How long does it take to make my cake topper?

Production time is typically 3-5 business days. Once your topper is ready, it will be shipped via The Courier Guy (3-5 business days delivery) or available for local pickup. We recommend ordering at least 2 weeks before your event to ensure timely delivery.

Can I see a preview before you make my topper?

For standard designs with simple personalization, we proceed directly to production based on the details you provide. For complex custom designs, we may provide a digital preview upon request. Please contact us if you'd like to discuss this option.

What information do I need to provide for personalization?

This depends on the design you choose. Typically, you'll need to provide names, dates, ages, or other text. For custom designs, you may also upload images or logos. Please double-check all spelling and details before submitting your order, as we create exactly what you specify.

Can I change my order after I've placed it?

Orders can be modified or cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. Once production begins (typically 24-48 hours after ordering), changes are no longer possible as your topper is already being made.

What are the cake toppers made from?

Our cake toppers are 3D printed using food-safe PLA (polylactic acid) plastic. This material is non-toxic and safe for use as a cake decoration.

Are the toppers edible?

No, our cake toppers are decorative items and are not edible. They should be removed from the cake before cutting and serving.

Can the toppers be reused?

What sizes are available?

What colors can I choose?

We offer a variety of colors depending on the design. Available colors are shown in the product options. If you need a specific color not listed, please contact us to check availability.

Will the colors look exactly like the photos?

We strive for accuracy, but slight color variations may occur due to the 3D printing process and screen display differences. If color matching is critical, please contact us before ordering.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to all provinces in South Africa, including Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Northern Cape, and Western Cape.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping via The Courier Guy costs R70.00. Local pickup is available free of charge.

How long does delivery take?

After your topper is made (3-5 business days), courier delivery takes an additional 3-5 business days. Total time from order to delivery is typically 1-2 weeks.

Do you offer rush orders?

Rush orders may be available depending on our current workload. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your timeline and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes! Once your order ships via The Courier Guy, you'll receive a tracking number by email so you can monitor your delivery.

Returns & Issues

Can I return my cake topper?

Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not accept returns on personalized items. Please review your order details carefully before purchasing.

What if my topper arrives damaged?

We package all toppers carefully, but if yours arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the damage and packaging. We'll send you a replacement at no additional cost.

What if there's an error in my topper?

If we made a mistake in production (wrong design, incorrect personalization, etc.), we'll remake your topper or provide a full refund. Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order.

What if I provided the wrong information?

We create toppers exactly as specified in your order. If incorrect details were provided by you, we cannot offer a refund or replacement. Please double-check all personalization details before completing your purchase.

Care & Storage

How do I clean my cake topper?

Wipe gently with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water or put in the dishwasher.

How should I store my topper?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid extreme temperatures which may cause warping.

How do I insert the topper into my cake?

Most toppers come with a stake or base. Simply insert gently into the top of your cake. If your cake has a hard surface, you may want to make a small pilot hole first.
